Im around 22 weeks and getting this dull pelvic pain on and off, esp when i stand up or walk. Its not severe but enough to make me worried. Why does this happen, is it just baby growing or something else?
When I was staying at my mummy's place, she used to tell me that pelvic pain happens because the baby is growing and putting pressure on the lower body. She would give me light warm compresses and make me rest with pillows under my hips. It really helped comfort me.
Oh god, the pelvic pressure and nausea together made my pregnancy so tough! Usually, it is just pelvic girdle pain because the bones are shifting, which is very common. Try using a maternity pillow between your knees while sleeping, it gives huge relief.
Pelvic pain is quite common in pregnancy, haan. Actually our body releases a hormone called relaxin which loosens the ligaments to prepare for delivery, isiliye pain hota hai. But agar pain bahut zyada ho, toh doc se check karva lena, na?
I am currently 6 months pregnant and actually starting to feel this dull pelvic ache too, especially when I stand up. Is it because the baby is putting weight down there now?
Sending you so much warmth and strength. Mild pelvic pain is often just your ligaments stretching to make space for your little miracle, which is normal. But since every step of our journey is precious, please let your doctor know if it feels sharp or unbearable.
I had a lot of complications, so I always tell everyone to be super careful with pelvic pain. It can just be ligament stretching, but if there's any severe pain, spotting, or cramping, please contact your gynac immediately. Don't ignore it.
Look, don't worry too much, it is mostly your body stretching to accommodate the baby. Just try to avoid lifting heavy things or standing for too long. If the pain feels too intense or doesn't go away with rest, just call your gynac to be safe.
