Some evenings my belly suddenly feels hard for a few minutes and then becomes normal again. It happens more when I walk or after dinner, and it scares me thoda. Is this common or should I ask my gynac?
My doctor explained that the tightening sensation can be due to a few reasons. The most common is Braxton Hicks contractions, which are like practice contractions. Also, as your uterus grows, the ligaments supporting it stretch, which can feel like tightening. Staying hydrated and changing positions helps, but if it's painful or regular, check with your gynac.
Oh my god, I know exactly what you mean! Mera pet bhi bohot tight hota tha and I used to worry so much, is everything okay? But mostly it's just your uterus expanding or Braxton Hicks contractions. Still, if it feels too much or painful, call your doc just to be sure, okay?
Mere saath bhi yeh hota tha, especially towards the end of my pregnancy. It was like my whole stomach would just harden for a few minutes. I just used to sit down, drink some water, and it would usually pass. Har body alag hoti hai, but this was my experience.
Please make sure you speak to your gynac about this, especially if it's happening frequently or accompanied by any pain. While sometimes it can be normal, it's always safest to get a medical opinion. They can tell you exactly what's happening.
That's totally normal, don't stress. It's most likely Braxton Hicks contractions, which are your body's way of 'practicing' for labor. Happens a lot more in the second and third trimester. Just relax, drink water.
Girl, tell me about it! My stomach feels like a rock most of the time now, especially after a long day or when the baby decides to throw a party inside. I swear sometimes I think my abs are coming back just for this pregnancy – ha ha. Just another joyous pregnancy symptom, I guess!
