Past few days my right ear has this dull ache come and go, never had ear issues before. Im 5 months along. Is this connected to pregnancy somehow? Anyone experienced this?
Ear pain is not something i would ignore, it could be an infection which needs proper treatment. Please dont self medicate or use random ear drops in pregnancy. See an ENT or your gynac, they will give something safe if needed.
Beta sometimes its just cold and blocked ear, a warm cloth pressed gently outside the ear can soothe it. But please dont put oil or anything inside the ear in this condition. If pain continues show the doctor for sure.
Ear pain in pregnancy can happen from congestion, the hormones cause extra mucus and stuffiness sometimes. I had blocked ears in my second pregnancy due to a cold. If its persistent or with fever though, get it checked, dont put any drops on your own.
From what i read, pregnancy congestion and sinus changes can cause ear pressure and pain, its actually a known thing due to hormones. But pain that stays or has discharge usually means infection. Better to get a doctor to look, dont guess with ears.
