My gynac has written hcg injections for me and didnt explain much in the rush. I dont fully understand why its given, is it for support or something else? Anyone who took these can u tell me your experience.
Dont worry too much beta. If your doctor has given it, there is a proper reason behind it. Just take it as told and ask her freely if you have doubts, that is what she is there for.
My gynac told me hcg is sometimes given to support progesterone and help the pregnancy hold in early weeks, especially if there is a history of loss or in fertility treatment. It is not a routine thing for everyone though. She said it depends on individual hormone reports.
With my PCOS the doctor mentioned hcg can be used for triggering or supporting at times. I wont claim to fully understand the science. Better to ask your treating doctor exactly why they wrote it for you.
I got hcg injections during my IVF cycle. From what my doctor explained it helps support the early pregnancy and the hormone levels. It was a bit overwhelming for me but the clinic guided me through everything. Whatever your reason is, your doctor knows your case best.
