Lately i keep getting hiccups myself way more than before, like multiple times a day. Im in my second trimester. Is this a pregnancy thing or just random? Just curious if others noticed the same.
I felt the baby hiccups in third trimester and it was the cutest thing, like tiny taps at the same spot. I got emotional honestly. My gynac said it's perfectly normal and means baby is doing well.
My doctor explained baby hiccups happen as they practise breathing in the womb, u feel little tic tic movements. For ur own, hormones and pressure on the stomach cause it. Both common, nothing to worry.
If u mean ur own hiccups, it's mostly the growing uterus pressing the diaphragm and acidity. If it's baby hiccups u feel later, that's the rhythmic little jerks, totally normal and actually a good sign.
If it's the baby, they're just doing their little dance practice in there haha. If it's u, blame the acidity and the bump squishing everything. Both normal, no tension.
