Im 9 weeks and barely feel like eating anything, food just doesnt appeal to me and i force myself. Bit worried if baby is getting enough. Is this normal at this stage, anyone else felt this?
Totally normal, especially first trimester. The nausea and hormones killed my appetite, food just felt repulsive. What worked was tiny meals every couple hours instead of forcing big plates. Even a few biscuits, fruit or curd counts. It comes back later, hang in there.
This happened to me too, amma said eat small portions many times rather than struggling with full meals, and it helped. Light foods like curd rice and fruits went down easier. If you really cant eat anything for days though, please check with your doctor once.
I felt exactly this in my early weeks and got anxious whether baby was getting enough. My doc reassured me its very common. Now in second trimester my hunger is back fully lol. Did anyone else feel zero appetite first and then suddenly always hungry?
Dont panic over it dear, low appetite in pregnancy is quite normal due to the hormone changes. Just eat little and often, whatever appeals to you, and stay hydrated. If it's severe or you cant keep food at all, do tell your doctor.
Hormones do this, appetite goes for a toss early on. Dont force big meals, just eat small bits often so you and baby get something. Keep sipping water and juices. If you cant keep anything down at all or are losing weight, then mention it to your gynac.
