I keep seeing people say avoid cheese in pregnancy but nobody explains the reason properly. I eat it in sandwiches almost daily. Is all cheese a problem or just some types? someone pls clarify.
Cheese isn't bad unless it's unpasteurized soft cheese that has bacteria. Thank goodness, because my third-trimester brain is basically powered by processed cheese slices and pizza!
Who said cheese is bad? I would have cried for 9 months! Just stay away from fancy unpasteurized moldy cheeses, your regular cheddar and mozzarella are perfectly safe to hog.
According to my pregnancy app, pasteurized cheeses like cream cheese, mozzarella, and processed cheddar are 100% safe. Just avoid unpasteurized soft cheeses like blue cheese to prevent listeria infection.
Actually, only unpasteurized soft cheese is risky because of listeria bacteria. However, always ask your gynac which brands of cheese are safe for you to consume during your checkups.
Sab cheese kharab nahi hoti beta. Jo hum Amul cheese khate hain wo bilkul safe hai kyunki wo pasteurized hoti hai. Bas bahaar ka naya dhang ka naram cheese mat khana.
You can eat regular pasteurized cheese in moderation. After my C-section, I had to eat simple food to avoid constipation, so just keep your cheese intake balanced and healthy.
