I noticed my neck has gone kind of dark and patchy in the last few weeks, im 5 months along. It looks a little odd na and im wondering whats causing it. Did this happen to anyone else?
Oh my god, yes! My neck and underarms went like two shades darker, I swear I looked like a mismatched doll. My husband joked I was 'marinating' the baby. It's totally normal, called melasma or linea nigra, and it usually fades after delivery. Don't stress!
This is super common! My pregnancy app actually explained this. It's due to hormonal changes, specifically increased melanin production, which can cause hyperpigmentation. Your neck, underarms, inner thighs, and even nipples can get darker. It's temporary and should lighten post-delivery.
Ho na, this happens to so many of us! My neck also got a bit dark. It's because of the hormones, all that melanin production. It's nothing to worry about, just a sign of pregnancy. It will fade after delivery, don't take tension.
Dark neck? Haha, I barely remember my own name these days, let alone my neck colour! But seriously, yes, mine got darker too. I think it's just one of those random pregnancy superpowers, like suddenly needing to pee every 5 minutes. It'll go back to normal... eventually!
Amma, don't worry, this is quite common during pregnancy. My mother-in-law used to say it's a sign of a healthy pregnancy, haha! It's due to hormonal changes, darling. It will gradually disappear after you deliver the baby. Just mention it to your doctor if you're concerned, but it's usually harmless.
That's a very common pregnancy change, dear. Hormones do so many things to our body! It's called linea nigra or melasma, and many women experience it. It tends to fade away gradually after the baby arrives. Just focus on your health and enjoying this time.
Dark neck? Try dark everything, yaar! With twins, my hormones went into overdrive. It's called hyperpigmentation and totally normal. It might look a bit different now, but it's not harmful and will mostly lighten once the babies are here. Just another pregnancy quirk!
