My doc told me to book the NT scan around 12 weeks but didnt explain much. First time pregnant so i dont really know what they check in this one. Can someone tell what it's actually for?
Oh god, I spent nights googling what high NT values mean and lost all my peace of mind. Please don't do that, it's just a routine screening test and most of the time reports come perfectly normal!
It's just an important screening done in the first trimester to check baby's health. I scheduled mine right before my light evening walk, which my doctor said is perfectly fine to continue.
I completely understand how terrifying all these medical tests can feel when you are pregnant. But this scan is just a helpful screening tool to ensure everything is on track, so take a deep breath.
The NT scan basically checks the fluid thickness at the back of the baby's neck. It is a standard screening done around 11 to 13 weeks to check for any early developmental or genetic issues.
I just got my NT scan done last week and I was so nervous before going in. Did anyone else also feel super anxious waiting for the report, or is it just me?
Having PCOS made me worry about every single test, but this scan is just to see if the baby is growing normally. It's a routine check so don't get scared, just go step by step.
Hey, don't stress too much about this scan! It is just a routine checkup to make sure baby's neck measurements are fine, most of the time it's just a sweet chance to see your baby wiggle on screen.
Haan na, starting mein test sunkar tension aati hai, but NT scan normal routine hai. It's done to check the baby's healthy growth in the third month itself, so don't worry.
My mother-in-law said in their days no such scans were there, but my doctor advised it is very important to check baby's early development. So we quietly went and got it done, it is very safe.
