Since 2nd trimester ive noticed my mouth smells kinda bad even after brushing properly. Bit embarrassing honestly. Is this a pregnancy thing or am i doing something wrong? Anyone else faced this?
Honestly, pregnancy hormones increase blood flow to your gums, making them prone to plaque and gingivitis, which causes the smell. Also, if you've had morning sickness, stomach acid lingers. Try brushing twice, use a soft brush, and keep yourself hydrated.
Actually, my tracker app showed this is super common! Hormones like progesterone increase plaque and bacteria, causing 'pregnancy gingivitis' which smells bad. Plus, dehydration or vomiting makes it worse, so keep drinking water and maybe try an alcohol-free mouthwash.
Haan yaar, yeh bad breath ki problem toh badi annoying hoti hai! Actually acidity aur hormones ki wajah se gums swollen ho jate hain aur smell aati hai. Roz acche se brush karna aur thoda saunf chabana, fayda milega.
Aww, don't feel bad, this happens to so many of us. Our hormones can cause dry mouth and gum issues during this time. Try rinsing your mouth with warm water and salt after eating, it really helps gently.
When I was at my mum's house, I had this too and she told me to chew on some fennel seeds (saunf) after food. It's mostly because of hormones or morning sickness acid. Just rinse well and take care of your health.
I totally understand how frustrating and embarrassing this feels, dear. Please don't be hard on yourself, your body is doing so much work! It's usually just pregnancy hormones causing dry mouth or acid from nausea. Sending you lots of love.
