First time pregnant and i know periods stop but i never really understood the actual reason behind it. Just curious how the body works during this time. Can someone explain simply?
Once you conceive, the hormones change so the uterine lining stays to support the baby instead of shedding, thats why periods stop. So missing periods is one of the first signs. Any bleeding during pregnancy is different and should be told to your gynac.
I was confused at first about why periods just stop. So its the hormones holding the lining, got it. I did have a tiny spotting once early and my gynac said it wasnt a period.
