Got a small nose bleed this morning out of nowhere, second time this week. Im in my second trimester and this never happened to me before pregnancy. Is it normal or should i be worried?
I felt so scared when it first happened to me, I thought something was wrong. But it was just dryness, a little coconut oil inside the nose helped me a lot.
Mostly its harmless but if you get nosebleeds with headache or BP feeling high, please check with doctor once. I had high BP so they always told me to report such things.
My doctor explained the blood volume increases in pregnancy and the tiny vessels in nose get sensitive, so nosebleeds happen. She said keep nostrils moist and dont blow hard. It settled for me by 2nd trimester.
Dont panic over a small nosebleed, it's common because of hormones. Just sit, lean slightly forward and pinch the soft part for a few mins. If it keeps happening a lot or is heavy, do mention to your gynac.
