im in 2nd trimester and twice this week my nose started bleeding out of nowhere. never had this issue before pregnancy so it caught me off guard. why does this happen suddenly? a bit worried tbh.
My doctor said it's because of increased blood volume and hormones that make the tiny vessels in your nose more fragile, especially in dry weather. It's pretty common and usually harmless. She told me to use a little saline spray and avoid blowing too hard.
Beta yeh common hai, body mein khoon zyada banta hai na is time. Keep the nose moist, little ghee or coconut oil at the opening helps in dry season. But agar bahut zyada ho to doctor ko dikhana.
It happens because more blood is flowing and the nasal lining gets sensitive. I got a few nosebleeds in my second trimester, just pinched my nose and leaned forward and it stopped. If it's heavy or frequent though, mention it to your gynac.
Mujhe bhi hua tha pregnancy mein, dar gayi thi pehle. Doctor ne bola blood zyada hone se hota hai, normal baat hai. Thanda rakho ghar, paani peeti raho, theek ho jayega.
Mostly it's the normal increased blood flow, nothing scary. But if you get frequent heavy nosebleeds or have high BP, please flag it to your doctor, because nosebleeds can sometimes link to BP. Better to be checked.
