Im getting these mild aches in my lower belly and back off and on, im around 16 weeks. Is this just the body changing and stretching or something to be careful about? plan to mention it to my gynac but wanted to hear ur experiences.
Most of it is just your body making space for the baby, so try not to panic with every little ache. Rest, change positions, and don't sit or stand too long. That said, if anything feels severe or unusual, ring your doctor, that's always the safe move.
A lot of mild aches are normal, the body is stretching and ligaments are loosening to make room for baby. Back pain, round ligament pulls, leg cramps, all very common. But sharp pain, severe cramps or any bleeding is not the normal kind, get that checked immediately.
My doctor explained most pregnancy pains come from hormones relaxing the joints, the growing uterus pulling ligaments, and the extra weight on your back. She said mild and on and off is usually fine. The warning signs she told me to never ignore were severe pain, constant pain, fever with it, or bleeding.
It really depends on the type and where the pain is, so I'd never guess online. Normal stretching aches are one thing but strong or sudden pain needs your gynac to look at it. Please don't wait if the pain is intense or comes with any bleeding or dizziness.
I keep getting these pulling pains on the sides of my belly and it scared me at first. My doctor said it's the ligaments stretching. Did others feel this too? It calmed me to know it's common but I still ask whenever it feels different.
