I read about placenta detaching somewhere and now im a little scared about it. Im 22 weeks, everything fine so far thank god. Just wanted to understand why it happens to some women?
Placental detachment can happen due to high BP, injury or other reasons, and it is a serious situation that needs immediate medical care. If you ever have heavy bleeding or sharp constant belly pain, go to the hospital right away. Please dont wait on something like this.
This is a medical emergency topic, not something to manage at home. Controlling your BP and going for all checkups lowers the risk. If anything feels wrong like bleeding or strong pain, call your doctor or go to hospital without delay.
Beta dont scare yourself reading about this, it is not very common. Keep your checkups, manage your BP and rest well. And if you ever feel sudden pain or see bleeding, go straight to the doctor, okay.
My doctor explained it can be linked to high blood pressure, trauma, smoking or sometimes no clear cause. That is why they monitor BP and the placenta on scans closely. The main thing is to report any bleeding or severe pain immediately.
