My neck and underarms have gone noticeably darker since i got pregnant, and theres a dark line on my tummy too now. Is this a hormone thing? Just curious why it happens and if it goes away after delivery.

It's because of the pregnancy hormones increasing melanin, my doctor explained. That's why you may notice the dark line on the belly and darkening around the neck or face. She said it usually fades after delivery, so don't worry.
I felt so conscious about the dark patches on my face during pregnancy. But honestly it faded slowly after my baby came. It's just the hormones doing their thing, totally normal.
Mine darkened too, especially the neck area. I just kept the skin moisturized and used sunscreen, didn't try any harsh creams. If you ever notice anything unusual on the skin, mention it to your doctor.
