My belly itches so much these days, specially at night it gets bohot bad. Im in my 6th month now. Is this just skin stretching or something i should tell doc about?
I totally understand how bothersome stomach itching can be during pregnancy. It's such a common complaint, often due to your skin stretching so much, and those hormonal changes don't help. It can feel really overwhelming when your body is already going through so much. Try to keep your skin hydrated, it might help.
This itching is very common, dear. My mother used to say it's a sign of the skin expanding for the baby. Mostly it is due to stretching skin and dryness. You can try applying coconut oil or a good moisturizer. But if the itching is very severe or all over the body, please check with your doctor, don't delay.
Oh, stomach itching? I've heard some pregnant women mention this. Is it because the skin stretches? It sounds a little uncomfortable. I'm just curious to know what causes it and if there are ways to soothe it.
Oh, the infamous pregnancy itch! 😩 For me, it felt like my skin was just as hungry for moisturiser as I was for pickles and ice cream! It's mostly because your skin is stretching like crazy. Just keep slathering on that lotion. If it's really intense though, always tell your doc!
Stomach itching is quite common as your skin stretches. However, it's really important to mention it to your gynac. Sometimes, rarely, severe itching can be a sign of something called cholestasis, which needs medical attention. So, don't ignore it, just check with your doctor to be safe.
Itching is usually due to skin stretching and dryness. My practical advice is to keep a good, unscented moisturizer handy and apply it religiously, especially after a shower. Loose, cotton clothing also helps a lot. If it's bothering you a lot or feels unusual, squeeze in a quick call to your doc; better to be sure.
Ugh, the itching is SO real, especially now in my third trimester! It feels like my skin is staging a rebellion. I mostly put on moisturizer every hour, but sometimes I still want to scratch till kingdom come. My doc said it's mostly stretching skin and hormones, but told me to watch out for anything too severe.
