My gynac told me to come for tetanus injection next visit and i just nodded but didnt really understand why its needed. Im 5 months. Can someone explain in simple words?
Tetanus shot is super important to protect both u and the baby from dangerous infections during delivery. I remember being so nauseous during my shot, but the doctor explained it's a must. It is just a routine precaution, don't worry about it.
I totally understand how scary all these injections can feel when u are expecting. But please know this is to keep your precious little baby safe from life-threatening infections. It is a mother's first beautiful step of protection for her little one.
It is completely normal to feel anxious about any injection or medication during this time. The tetanus vaccine is standard protocol to prevent any infection during childbirth. Your doctor will schedule it at the right weeks, so you are in safe hands.
I just got my second shot last week and my arm was so sore, as if carrying this big belly wasn't tiring enough! It basically protects the baby from tetanus infection during birth. Just a tiny prick for baby's safety, totally worth it.
