Everyone keeps telling me drink more water, drink more water, my gynac said the same. I do drink but not so much honestly. Just wanted to understand why its such a big deal now.
My doctor told me water is important because your blood volume increases, it helps with the amniotic fluid, and it cuts down on constipation and UTIs which are common in pregnancy. She told me to keep sipping all day. Made a big difference for my energy too.
Basically your body needs way more fluids now, for you and the baby. It helped me avoid constipation and those annoying cramps. I kept a big bottle with me and just kept refilling. Simple but really helps.
Basically baby needs it and your body's working overtime na. It helped my constipation so much, trust me. Dont stress about hitting exact litres, just keep a bottle close and keep sipping through the day.
When my morning sickness was bad I got dehydrated easily, and that made me feel even worse. Keeping up with water, sometimes with a little nimbu, really helped. If you cant keep water down at all though, tell your doctor, that happened to me.
Especially if you're doing your doctor-approved walks, water becomes even more important since you sweat more. It kept my cramps away and helped my skin too. I'd sip before and after my walk.
