Got my routine blood test done and the wbc came a bit on the higher side. Im around 5 months now and havent had any fever or anything. My reports otherwise look ok but this one number is bugging me, anyone else had high wbc in pregnancy?
Usually its just the pregnancy, but a high WBC can also mean an infection somewhere. Best to show the report to your gynac so they decide if anything needs attention.
Mine was high too and I panicked seeing the report! Gynac said its normal for pregnancy. Did yours come with any fever or were you also feeling totally fine?
Pregnancy itself raises WBC, its very normal especially in later months and around delivery. As long as you dont have fever or other symptoms its usually fine, but let your doc read the full report.
My doc told me WBC naturally goes up in pregnancy, the body just does that. Mine was a bit high in reports and she said its expected unless there are other signs of infection.
