we have a shifting planned and my mom said its not good to change house when pregnant. im 7 months. dont know if its just an old belief or theres some actual reason. curious what others think.
Beta in our families they say avoid big shifting in pregnancy mostly because of the heavy lifting and stress, not anything else. The real concern is you should not strain yourself. If you must shift, let others do the lifting and you just rest.
Yaar mostly it's about not exhausting yourself and avoiding heavy boxes. Dont stress over the superstition part. Just delegate the hard work and put your feet up.
My MIL also said the same thing and got a bit worried when we planned to move. We just made sure I didnt lift anything heavy and took it slow. In the end it was the rest and no strain that mattered.
A lot of this is old belief, but the practical part is true, moving is tiring and stressful which isnt great in pregnancy. If you have to move, plan it well and avoid lifting. Otherwise there's no medical rule against it, but ask your gynac if you're unsure.
