My elder sister is 41 and trying since almost a year now, nothing happening. We always heard 30s is fine but after 40 its very tough na. Just wanted to understand why exactly it gets so hard, anyone here conceived in their 40s?
I started my journey at 39 and conceived at 41 through IVF. Doctor explained that after 40 the egg reserve goes down and quality matters more. It can happen, just be gentle with yourself and get proper guidance from a fertility specialist.
The body just slows down a bit after 40, eggs reduce and that's the natural reason. But many women still become moms in their 40s. Take care of your health and let a doctor guide you, you'll be okay.
Mainly it comes down to fewer good quality eggs as we age, and slightly higher chance of complications. But every body is different na. Best is to see a gynac who can check your hormone levels and AMH and tell u where u actually stand.
Beta in our time also some ladies had babies late, so it does happen. But age does make a difference for sure. Eat well, stay healthy and please get checked by a good doctor instead of only relying on home things.
Its not that u cant, its just harder. Egg quality and number both drop with age, thats the main thing. Plenty of women do conceive in their 40s but it can take longer, so dont assume its impossible.
