Its been a few months since my delivery and the weight just isnt moving, infact i feel like im holding on to more than during pregnancy. Wondering why this happens to so many of us. Just trying to understand my own body better.
Honestly with a newborn there's no time to cook healthy or move much, so weight tends to stay. I started with short 15 min walks with the pram once baby settled. Realistically it takes months, dont stress in the early phase.
It's so normal and please dont be hard on yourself about it. Between the hormonal changes, sleepless nights, comfort eating and no time to exercise, the weight stays a while. Mine took almost a year to budge. Be patient with your body, it just made a whole human.
Hormones, fluid retention, breastfeeding hunger and zero time for yourself all add up. After my second I gained more because I barely slept or moved. It comes off slowly once routine settles. Dont rush it, focus on eating well and walking when you can.
For me breastfeeding made me super hungry all the time, so I ate more even though they say nursing burns calories. The weight shifted slowly over months. Dont compare yourself to anyone, every body recovers at its own pace.
Because we grew a human, survived no sleep and ate whatever was within arms reach at 3am ha. Jokes apart, it's hormones plus lifestyle, totally normal. It eases off once life calms down a bit.
