I had a couple of drinks at a wedding before i knew i was pregnant and now i cant stop worrying about it. It was just 1-2 glasses but still im so anxious. Im planning to tell my gynac at next visit, just wanted to hear if anyone went through this.
Please avoid it. If you had a drink or two before you knew you were pregnant, dont panic, just stop now and mention it to your doctor at your next visit. Going forward it's really better to stay off it completely.
The honest answer is yes it can affect the baby, and the recommendation everywhere is zero alcohol during pregnancy. There's no proven safe limit so it's not worth the gamble. If you have any specific worry, your gynac is the right person to talk to.
My gynac was very firm about this, no alcohol at all through the whole pregnancy. She said it crosses to the baby and can cause growth and development problems, they even have a name for it (FASD). So yeah, best to completely skip it.
Yes, alcohol is one of the clear no's in pregnancy, every doctor says avoid it completely. It can affect the baby's development and there's no amount that's called safe. I just stopped fully both pregnancies, not worth any risk.
