My hcg is rising but very slowly and the doc has asked me to come for a scan to rule out ectopic. Im so worried and cant stop reading about it. Did anyone go through this, do the levels still go up?
I know how scary this question feels. Yes hcg can go up in ectopic too, which makes it confusing, thats why scans matter. If u have pain on one side or spotting with these doubts, please get checked urgently. Sending u strength.

From what I went through, in ectopic the hcg usually rises but slower than a normal pregnancy, not doubling properly. But this is honestly not something to judge yourself, pls see ur doctor with the numbers. They confirm it with a scan, not just hcg.
My doctor explained hcg can still rise in ectopic but often the rise is abnormal or slow. The hcg alone cant confirm it, they need a scan to see where the pregnancy is. If u are worried about ectopic, go in for a checkup soon, dont wait.
