That dark line on my tummy has become quite prominent now in my third trimester. Its not bothering me much but i was just wondering does it fade away after delivery or stays forever? for those who already delivered, did urs go?
Mine is fading slowly, baby is 4 months now and the line is much lighter than during pregnancy. It takes time, dont expect it to vanish overnight. They say it usually fades within a year or so after delivery.
After my c section the line was still there for a while along with everything else healing. It did fade gradually over the months. Bodies take their own sweet time to recover, so go easy on yourself.
I used to feel a bit self conscious about mine, but a friend reminded me it is a mark of carrying my baby. It does lighten with time. Be kind to your body, it did something amazing.
Yes it fades on its own, it is the pregnancy hormones causing it so once they settle the line lightens. Took a few months for me both times. No need for any cream, just be patient.
