Ive been dealing with pcos for years now, the weight gain and acne and all of it. Were planning to start trying soon and im wondering if all this will calm down once im pregnant. Anyone with pcos who can share their experience?
I get why u are hoping for relief, pcos is exhausting. Conceiving can give a break from some symptoms but its not a cure as such. Be gentle with yourself and let the doctor track you closely.
Heads up from experience, pcos moms sometimes get watched for sugar in pregnancy, I had GD myself. Some symptoms calm down but be regular with your tests and food. Your doc will guide the diet.
My doctor told me pregnancy can actually settle some pcos symptoms because of the hormonal shift, but it also raises some risks like sugar issues. So they monitor pcos moms a bit more closely. Dont assume it just vanishes.
From my own pcos experience, some things did ease in pregnancy like the irregular periods obviously stop. But pcos doesnt fully go away, and it can come back after delivery. Keep your gynac in the loop the whole time.
