Generally, we say 17 weeks is when the 5th month begins. My mother-in-law used to calculate it differently by dates, but my gynac explained that medically it starts from week 17. I always think it's best to follow what the doctor tells you.
Progesterone is what actually maintains the uterine lining and prevents miscarriage, while estrogen helps with blood supply and fetal growth. Having a PCOS history, my hormone levels were quite low initially, so I had to take supplements. Please don't compare your levels with others, every body is different, so trust your gynac's advice.
I am in my 5th month and already went up two sizes, is this normal? They also feel very sore and itchy sometimes. Did anyone else experience this much growth so early? I feel a bit conscious.
