Honestly, you can't really 'control' them, you just learn to survive them! With twins, my nausea and fatigue were double, so I just accepted the mess, slept whenever I could, and kept dry crackers next to my bed. Just go with the flow, you've got this!
I had to take steroid injections before my early C-section and yes, I noticed quite a bit of swelling in my hands and feet. But please mention this to your doctor just to be safe. Keeping your feet elevated on a couple of pillows really helps to ease the discomfort.
