I have my first scan next week and my mother-in-law thinks it is twins because my nausea is so bad. Does anyone else who had twins actually feel heavy vomiting right from week 5?

Haan na, it is so painful emotionally when this happens. Normally the physical bleeding stops within a week, just like a heavy period. Take lots of rest and do consult your doctor once to make sure you are recovering well.

Actually, this happened to a relative of mine; they birth-wise thought it was a small fibroid but it was a very early pregnancy. My mother always says to take a second opinion and wait for a few days before stressing. Rest well and let your parents support you through this wait.

Any kind of stomach pain during pregnancy should not be self-diagnosed. It could be normal acidity, but it's always safest to check with your gynac. Please call your doctor and let them know.

Please sleep strictly on your side, preferably the left side, to keep the blood flow safe. If you experience severe back pain or swelling, immediately let your gynac know.
