When I was pregnant for the first time, my doctor explained the three pillars: folic acid in the 1st trimester, staying hydrated with 2-3 liters of water, and resting well. Always keep track of your scan dates and blood tests as suggested by your gynac.
Kick counts are basically a daily check on your baby's oxygen and well-being. You should ideally count at least 10 kicks or movements within a 2-hour window when the baby is active. If you ever feel a sudden drop or no movement, call your gynac immediately for a quick check.
Honestly, don't rush to test too early and get confused by faint lines. Wait till the first day of your missed period, or ideally a couple of days after, and use your first morning urine for the most accurate result before you head out for work.
You can have a little bit if you don't have sugar issues, but be very careful. I had gestational diabetes, so I had to strictly avoid regular ice creams because they spike sugar fast. Maybe try sugar-free options if your doctor allows.
I am in my 20th week and my face has suddenly got so much pigmentation, so I was also thinking of buying a kojic acid soap. But I am too scared to try any new products right now. Has anyone else used it safely, or is it better to avoid?
