Down syndrome is a chromosomal issue and age can sometimes be a factor, but anyone can have it. For your own safety and peace of mind, please discuss the screening tests (like NIPT or Double Marker) with your gynac. They will guide you best.
Light cramping can happen as your body adjusts, and gentle walking helped me deal with the discomfort, but only after my doctor allowed it. If the cramps get intense, stop everything and check with your gynac right away.

I couldn't stand the smell of normal cow's milk at all during my first trimester, it made me throw up instantly. Honestly, chilled unsweetened soy milk was the only thing I could digest. It really saved my protein intake when I couldn't eat much.
