I panicked so much when my doctor first wrote 'sonogram' on my prescription, thinking something was wrong! But actually, it's just the medical term for a routine ultrasound. It is completely normal and done multiple times during pregnancy to check the baby.
My doctor explained that after fertilization, the egg travels down the fallopian tube and implants, which takes 6-12 days. The hCG hormone is then produced and detectable in urine. So scientifically, it takes about 14 days after sex to get an accurate positive.
You are roughly at the 6-month mark, almost touching the 3rd trimester. If you're working, now is the perfect time to start planning your maternity leave and sorting out handovers. Things get busier and more exhausting after this week!
I just had my baby and yes, I remember having a lot of watery white discharge in the first trimester. It's just your body's way of protecting the baby from infections. Don't worry, it's very normal, just wear breathable cotton underwear.
My bhabhi also had a small polyp and we were all very worried at home. But the doctor said it's very common and did a simple removal, and she conceived soon after. Just stay close to family and trust your doctor.
