Honestly, I used to get so confused between weeks and months! Just tell people the weeks because months make no mathematical sense in pregnancy. Your doctor's scan sheet is the only thing you should trust.
I remember getting that weird numb feeling in my legs when I was pregnant with my son, who is now a toddler! It can be so annoying, but it usually goes away after delivery. Do discuss it with your gynac though, just to be sure.
When mine was suggested I asked the hospital team directly about safety and they explained everything clearly. They confirmed no contrast and that it was needed. Always ask the doctor and radiology staff to walk you through it.
Home kits are quite good if you wait till the missed period date. If you get conflicting results or its very faint, a blood test at the lab confirms it clearly. Your doctor can guide you on the timing too.
Start folic acid, fix your first gynac appointment, eat clean home food and rest well. Avoid heavy lifting and self medication. Basics done right go a long way, I did the same both times.
