If you mean during sex in a normal pregnancy, yes its generally safe and nothing to worry. The baby is well protected. If your gynac restricted intimacy for any reason, then follow that.
They are safe but honestly a bit pricey. I just used my normal pillows, one between knees and one under belly, did the same job. If your budget allows, the proper one is more comfy though.
