Uff, that two-week wait is torturous! I tested 5 days early, got a negative, cried, and then got a positive on my actual missed period day. Save yourself the drama and wait for the missed day.
Although left-side sleeping is highly recommended later, my doctor said in the second month you can sleep in any position that feels comfortable. The uterus is still small and well-protected. Just avoid sleeping flat on your stomach if it feels tender.
I've been reading up on this, and apparently, mild cramping can even be an early sign of implantation! But severe pain is definitely a red flag. Hope you feel better soon!
Swelling of feet, or edema, is actually a common pregnancy symptom, but my doctor told me it mostly starts after 20 weeks due to increased blood volume and hormone changes. In very early pregnancy, mild bloating is more common. If you missed your period, a urine test is the only sure way.
Swelling can be normal, but please monitor your blood pressure. I had some preeclampsia issues during my pregnancy, so I always tell everyone to get their BP checked by the doctor if they notice sudden swelling.
