Got a bad toothache and the dentist wants to start antibiotics. Im 22 weeks and nervous about taking anything right now. Will double check with my gynac but did any of u take these during pregnancy?
I always made sure both my dentist and gynac knew before any medicine. Some dental antibiotics are considered safe but only under their advice. Please dont self prescribe, just let the doctors decide.
When I had a tooth issue my dentist coordinated with my gynac and gave a pregnancy safe antibiotic. He said some are fine and some are avoided, so they choose carefully. Just tell the dentist you're pregnant before anything.
Generally yes there are safe options, but it must be picked by the dentist knowing you are pregnant. Dont take leftover medicines at home for a toothache. Get it prescribed properly.
