I have started growing microgreens at home and add them raw in my sandwiches. Thoda doubt aaya ki raw cheezein pregnancy mein theek hai ya nahi. Currently 7 weeks. Anyone knows about this?
They're totally fine, but honestly, washing them felt like trying to clean grass with a magnifying glass! If you have the patience to wash every tiny leaf, go for it, otherwise just stick to normal spinach.
If you are watching your sugar, microgreens are fantastic because they don't spike your levels at all. Just make sure they are grown in very hygienic conditions and wash them thoroughly under running water.
I didn't take any chances with raw salads or microgreens during my pregnancy because of the risk of soil bacteria. I only ate them if they were fully cooked or sautéed in a stir-fry, just to be on the safer side.
Oh sweetie, I know you must be so worried about every single bite you take right now. Microgreens are so packed with nutrients, but just be extra careful about where you buy them and always wash them with lots of love and care.
I am actually also trying to conceive and was looking up healthy foods recently. I read that microgreens are very good, but we have to wash them super carefully or cook them a bit to avoid any stomach bugs.
