The roads near my place are full of potholes and the daily auto ride to work is so bumpy, i actually hold my belly the whole time. Im 22 weeks. Cant help worrying if all that jerking can affect the baby. Anyone else dealing with this?
Usual bumps are okay, but if you're high risk or near your due date, avoid very rough long rides. I was told to be careful because of my situation. If you ever bleed or cramp after a jerky ride, ring your gynac.
I get so tense on potholed roads, did anyone else feel scared by every bump? My friend said baby is safely cushioned. Still I hold my belly the whole ride, lol.
Normal bumpy roads wont harm the baby, it's well cushioned in there. I traveled plenty on rough roads both times. Just wear your seatbelt properly under the belly and ask the driver to go slow on bad patches.
