Are we overtreating subclinical hypothyroidism in pregnancy?
I'm concerned about certain medical conditions during pregnancy and how they are managed. Does anyone know about managing subclinical hypothyroidism in pregnancy and if there are different views on treatment approaches?
I had severe thyroid complications during my pregnancy, so I would highly suggest not ignoring even mild levels. Please follow your doctor's advice carefully.
Actually, guidelines suggest keeping TSH under 2.5 during pregnancy to avoid any developmental issues for the baby. It's not overtreatment, just preventive care.
