I had a pap smear done recently as part of a regular checkup and now im also wondering if i might be pregnant. Just curious if that test would have picked it up or its a totally different thing? confused honestly.
No, pap smear checks cervix cells for abnormal changes, its not a pregnancy test. My gynac explained they are totally different tests. For pregnancy u need a urine kit or blood hCG test.
It doesnt confirm pregnancy. A pap smear is a screening for cervical cells. To know about pregnancy use a home kit, and blood test at lab is the most accurate. Two separate purposes.
Nope, pap smear and pregnancy test are two different things yaar. Pap is for cervical health. If u think u might be pregnant just do a urine test or get the blood one done.
No it cant tell pregnancy. Thats not what its made for. Best to ask ur gynac and just take an actual pregnancy test, urine or blood, if thats what ur trying to find out.
