I took two tests, one faint line and one a bit darker, now im second guessing everything. My period is 5 days late. Just want to know if these tests can actually give wrong result sometimes?
Mine showed negative first and I felt so low, then 4 days later it was clearly positive. I felt I had tested too early. So yeah it can sometimes mislead if timing is off.
During my journey I learned home tests aren't always perfect, specially early on. A faint line is still a line usually. If you really want to be sure, the beta hCG blood test gives a clear answer. Sending you good thoughts.
It can show false negative if you test too early or use evening urine. False positive is rarer but can happen. Best is morning first urine and if confused, do a blood test, that one is most accurate.
Sometimes the cheap strips give faint or unclear lines yaar. Dont stress on one test. Repeat after 2-3 days with morning urine or just get a blood test done, that settles it.
I retested like 4 times because I didnt trust it, totally get the doubt. Tests can show wrong if expired or done too soon. Honestly the blood test put my mind at peace, maybe do that.
