Can anyone get the pregnancy government card done for ladies?
Someone in my building told me there's a govt card for pregnant ladies that helps with checkups and stuff. Im 2 months along now and would love to get it if its useful. Has anyone actually applied for this, how does it work?
The govt issues it after your first checkup registration. Carry id proof and address proof. I did mine at the local government hospital, took barely 20 mins.
Yes it is for every pregnant woman. Even if you deliver in a private hospital you can still register at the govt center for the card. Best to confirm exact documents needed at your local center.
Yes beta, go to the nearby PHC or anganwadi center and tell them you are pregnant. They will register and give the card. Take your aadhaar with you, that helped me.
You mean the MCP card (mother child protection card)? Haan it gets made at the government hospital or anganwadi when you register your pregnancy. Its free and tracks all your checkups and vaccines.
