I really miss my evening chai, mostly i take black tea without milk. Im 9 weeks now. Is it ok to have it or i should cut it down? Bit confused about the caffeine thing.
Ho na, pregnancy mein cravings toh kitni kuch hoti hai! Black tea mein caffeine hota hai na, so thoda dhyan rakhna padta hai. Mere gynac ne bola tha, try to limit it or maybe try green tea if you really want to drink something warm, but even that in moderation only.
Bete, black tea mein caffeine zyada hota hai, ghar ke bade toh kehte hain avoid karna chahiye. Agar kuch garam peene ka mann ho, toh adrak wali chai ya nimbu paani try karo. Woh zyada achha hota hai, digestive system ke liye bhi aur bachhe ke liye bhi.
Yaar, main toh pregnancy mein har chhoti cheez ke baare mein sochti rehti thi, black tea toh definitely maine apne gynac se confirm kiya tha. Unhone bola tha very very little is okay but not necessary to drink. So I just cut it out completely, didn't want any risk, even small one.
Honestly, I used to have black tea before getting pregnant and my doc said a little bit is usually okay, but to keep it minimal. Like one small cup in the whole day, not more. I mostly switched to decaf or herbal teas just to be safe, aur now with breastfeeding also, same funda.
