ive started having chia seeds in water and smoothies for the fiber, was constipated a lot lately. just want to confirm its safe to keep having through pregnancy. anyone added these to their diet?
Chia is actually one of the better seeds, low impact on sugar and high fiber, which helped me when I had GD. Soak it and don't overdo, a tablespoon a day is plenty. Always good to check quantity with your doc if you've any condition.
My nutrition app actually recommended chia for omega-3 and fiber in pregnancy. I'd soak a spoon overnight and add to smoothies. Start small to see how your tummy takes it, mine was totally fine.
I had chia seeds soaked in water or milk through my pregnancy, they're good for fiber and omega-3, helped with my constipation too. Just soak them well and keep the amount small, like a spoon. Worked nicely with my morning routine.
Yes you can, I added a little to my buttermilk and water. Good for digestion and energy. Just take in small amount and drink enough water with it, otherwise it can feel heavy. In moderation it's lovely.
