I'm having strong cravings for chocolate, but my family is telling me to avoid it while pregnant. Can chocolate be eaten during pregnancy, or should I cut it out completely?
Of course you can eat chocolate, just don't finish the whole bar in one sitting! Remember it has caffeine and lots of sugar, so keep it to a small piece. Excess sugar will only cause issues in your glucose tests.
I am craving dark chocolate so much in my second trimester, but honestly, is the caffeine safe for the baby? I feel so guilty after eating even one square. Does anyone else also eat chocolate daily?
I literally lived on dark chocolate bites during my third trimester! It kept my mood happy, and my doctor said a little bit is actually good for blood flow. Just avoid eating it late at night if you are struggling to sleep.
While chocolate is generally safe in moderation, it does contain caffeine. I would suggest asking your gynac about how much daily caffeine is safe for you, especially if you also drink tea or coffee.
Arey, eat it but in limit, no need to buy those super expensive imported sugar-free chocolates. Just have a small piece of regular Cadbury or Amul dark chocolate when you crave it. It's cheap, satisfying, and totally fine.
