Can duphaston be used in third trimester pregnancy?
My doc had me on duphaston early on and i stopped at some point. Now someone in family said it can also be given later. Im 30 weeks, just curious if its used in third trimester too. Anyone had this?
I was on Duphaston for a bit, and my doctor told me to rest more and only do light walking if she allowed it. Medicines like Duphaston should only be taken if your gynac has specifically prescribed them for you. Always clear it with your doctor before taking anything.
I panicked so much when my doctor prescribed Duphaston because I thought something was wrong with my baby. But later I found out it's very common to support the pregnancy. If your doctor has prescribed it in the third trimester, it's completely normal and safe to take, so don't worry!
Look, Duphaston is progesterone support, and while it's more common in early pregnancy, doctors sometimes prescribe it later for specific reasons like preventing preterm labor. Since it's a prescription drug, please don't self-medicate or stop it. Just follow your gynac's dosage strictly.
I know how exhausting it is to manage medications along with pregnancy nausea and fatigue. But Duphaston is a very important hormone support medicine, so please only use it if your doctor has told you to. If it's making you feel nauseous, ask your doc for tips to manage it.
Duphaston is a hormonal medicine and you should absolutely never take it or stop it without your doctor's direct advice, especially in the third trimester. Every pregnancy is different and your gynac knows exactly why you might need it. Just trust your doctor and follow their instructions.
This is a proper prescription medicine, so please don't take advice from online forums for this. Just call your doctor's clinic and ask them directly if you need to continue it. It's the simplest and safest way to handle this without any confusion.
Having gone through a miscarriage before, I know how terrifying every medicine and symptom can feel. I was prescribed Duphaston for safety, and it really helped me feel secure. Please strictly follow whatever your gynecologist advises regarding this medicine, as they know your history best.
