My MIL made keri gunda nu shaak today and im craving it bohot. But its kacchi keri based na, so thoda confused if its ok in pregnancy. Im in my 5th month. Anyone had it?
Honestly, there is no harm in having it but watch the oil and spice level. Pregnant ladies get bad heartburn easily, especially in the 3rd trimester. Just have a small portion to satisfy your craving and you are good to go.
Mere ghar pe toh banti thi dadi ke hath ki and I ate a spoon or two with rotli during my second trimester. Touchwood, mujhe digest ho gayi thi thik se. Par sabki body different hoti hai, so see how u feel after having a little bit.
Oh god, the cravings are so real na! I carried twins and used to eat literally anything with a bit of tanginess. Keri gunda is fine, just dont eat the whole dabba at once or u will be running to the washroom with acidity later!
Actually we are trying to conceive and last week my MIL made keri gunda at home. She said it is okay to have a little bit for taste, but not too much because gunda is considered warm for the body. I am also learning these small things slowly from elders.
Keri gunda sabji is fine to eat but limit the pickle version or heavy spices. Homemade style with very less oil and salt is best. Mere time pe I ate a little bit with paratha occasionally, just don't eat too much gunda as it can be thoda warm.
