I've heard that eating dates (khajur) can be very beneficial, especially towards the end of pregnancy. I wanted to know if it's safe and good to eat khajur throughout my entire pregnancy, or if there are any restrictions on when I should eat them.
I cannot say if it's medically safe for everyone, but I personally ate 3-4 dates every day in my third trimester. It really helped with my sweet cravings and constipation. Please check with your own doctor once.
I am currently eating 2 dates daily in my second trimester for my iron levels. But did your doctor tell you to eat more of them in the ninth month? I heard they help with labor.
In our house, my saas told me to avoid too many dates in the first trimester because they are 'garam', but said to eat them daily in the 9th month. It really helped me with energy during delivery, so definitely try it later on.
