Can eating too much fruit during pregnancy cause gestational diabetes?
I have been eating a lot of fruits these days because i crave sweet things and thought it was the healthy option. But then someone scared me saying too much fruit sugar is bad. Is that actually true?

Balance is the key, fruit is healthy but not in unlimited amounts. If you are worried about GD, the glucose test will tell clearly. Let your doctor advise based on your results.
I had GD and honestly fruit alone doesnt cause it, but eating loads of sweet fruit can spike sugar. I learned to have fruit in moderation and pair it with nuts. My doctor guided me on portions, thats the safest way.
My gynac said GD is mainly about how your body handles insulin, not just fruit. But she did say to limit very sugary fruits and juices. Whole fruit in normal amounts is fine, juice is where it adds up fast.
